On behalf of the members of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association (CPA), we would like to welcome you to our website. The CPA was founded ten years ago by a group of therapists who envisioned a national association that would provide support to mental health professionals who desired to practice their profession in a way that is consistent with their Catholic faith.
Our members come from all walks of life. The CPA offers a variety of membership options including clinical, academic, student, clergy/religious/seminarian, and associate memberships. Whether we are therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, executive and life coaches, clergy, religious, seminarians, or supporters from different professions, we all share a common mission: To support mental health practitioners by promoting the development of psychological theory and mental health practice which encompasses a full understanding of the human person, family, and society as taught by the Catholic Church.
This September we will be congregating at the Hyatt Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for our National Conference which is open to members and non-members. We will be celebrating the CPAS 10th Anniversary, enjoying wonderful presentations, and sharing Christian fellowship. Please visit our conference website healingdividedhearts.com for more details.
We hope to see you in beautiful Fort Lauderdale!
